I've been watching a fair few tutorials online and I've been trying a looser, rougher way of working concepts. This is one of a few images I've worked up.
It's still quite a rough image, but it presents what I want it to, it's textured enough and has a decent bit of atmosphere.

I like how the pillars of stone mimic the towers, it all works together well.

Thanks very much! I wanted a very strong vertical sense throughout this, it leads the eye up to/through the towers nicely with the stairs breaking that up.
