Fullview for all the textures and details please
OK so this was an experiment with texturing and lighting (yes, the lighting went a little out the window with this one.) I looked at some of my much older works and thought I'd go back to a helmet design but with a much grittier/textural style.
This is very much inspired by the fantastic Dave Rapoza (dunno who that is? Look him up!) and his superbly textured and detailed pics.
loved doing this, learnt quite a bit too, detailing isn't always good, and if you can give the idea of details without doing everything, it actually looks much better.
About 3-4 hours PS CS 5, wacom bamboo
